Life’s lack of rehearsal

Softly she slides into herself
No net strung up below
In case she were to fall,
And ruin her only chance.
Life’s games are too harsh
On the inexperienced,
And yet we tiptoe.
So why some jump early
Remains an undiscussed mystery
To those who walk with ease.

It will always remain a taboo topic,
As we raise it in fear
That someone in earshot
Just might have been in the camera shot.
Aware of a change but not.
Just the knowledge that some fall,
Some are pushed, but the actors
Amongst us…
They know how to stage a jump.
